These terms govern your use of the CIS Tracker UK mobile application and website ("the Service"), provided by Hale Technology Limited ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms.
CIS Tracker UK is a software tool that helps construction subcontractors and contractors record CIS payments, calculate deductions, estimate Self Assessment liability, and (with your authorisation) interact with HMRC's CIS API for subcontractor verification and CIS300 monthly returns.
The Service is a tool, not a regulated tax advice service. We are not chartered accountants or tax advisors. Estimates and calculations are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute professional advice. You remain responsible for the accuracy of your tax records and submissions.
You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the United Kingdom to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate registration information and to keep your password confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
All prices include VAT where applicable. Payments are processed by Stripe and are charged in advance for the chosen billing period.
New paid subscriptions include a 7-day free trial. You may cancel at any time during the trial without charge. After the trial, your chosen plan auto-renews unless cancelled.
You may cancel at any time from within the app. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer pro-rata refunds for unused time, except where required by consumer law.
If you choose to connect your Government Gateway, you authorise us to interact with HMRC on your behalf for the specific purposes you approve (verification, CIS300 submission). You can revoke this authorisation at any time. We are not responsible for HMRC service availability, errors in HMRC's systems, or penalties resulting from late or incorrect submissions you have approved.

The Service, including all software, design, content, and trademarks, is owned by Hale Technology Limited and is protected by intellectual property law. You retain ownership of the data you enter; you grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display that data solely to provide the Service.
Our processing of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that calculations will exactly match HMRC's. Refund estimates and tax calculations are based on the rates we have configured for the current tax year and your inputs; you should always verify figures with a qualified accountant before relying on them.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for:
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
You may close your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend your account where you breach these terms, where required by law, or where we cease to operate the Service. On termination, you remain responsible for any outstanding fees.
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified at least 30 days in advance by email or in-app. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
