By downloading, installing, or using BizTracker, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.

BizTracker allows you to record business financial information including income, expenses, invoices, mileage logs, and business details. All of this data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers or any third party by the App.

The types of data you may enter into the App include:

• Client/customer names and contact information
• Income and expense transaction records
• Mileage logs and journey details
• Invoice line items, payment terms, and notes
• Currency preferences (GBP, USD, EUR)

3.2 Data Collected Automatically

BizTracker may collect limited technical data automatically for the purpose of improving app stability and performance. This may include:

All financial data you enter into BizTracker is stored locally on your device using a SQLite database. This data remains on your device at all times and is not synced to any cloud service or external server by the App.

5.2 Your Responsibility

Because your data is stored locally, you are responsible for:

• Keeping your device secure (e.g., using a screen lock, keeping your OS updated)
• Backing up your data if you wish to preserve it when changing devices
• Ensuring no unauthorised person has access to your unlocked device

5.3 Security Measures

We implement reasonable technical measures to protect the integrity of the App, including:

• Secure coding practices aligned with OWASP Mobile Security guidelines
• No unnecessary permissions requested
• No transmission of financial data over the network
• Regular security reviews during development

6 Third-Party Services

BizTracker may integrate with the following third-party services for analytics and crash reporting:

6.1 Google Play Services

As BizTracker is distributed via Google Play, it is subject to the Google Privacy Policy. Google may collect certain device and usage data through Google Play Services.

6.2 Firebase Crashlytics (if applicable)

6.3 No Advertising SDKs

BizTracker does not contain any advertising SDKs or ad networks. We do not serve advertisements within the App, and no data is shared with advertising platforms.

7 Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal data with third parties for marketing or commercial purposes.

We may disclose anonymised, aggregated data if required to do so by law, regulation, or valid legal process (e.g., a court order or regulatory request).

8 Your Rights Under GDPR

Under the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

9 Children's Privacy

BizTracker is a business finance application intended for use by adults (aged 18 and over). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the UK under the Age Appropriate Design Code).

If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child, we will take steps to delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at privacy@haletech.uk.

10 Data Retention

Data stored locally on your device is retained for as long as you choose to keep it. You may delete any or all data at any time by:

• Deleting individual records within the App
• Using the App's data management/reset features
• Uninstalling the App (which removes all local data)

Anonymised analytics and crash report data (if collected) is retained for a maximum of 26 months in line with standard industry practice, after which it is automatically deleted.

11 International Transfers

If anonymised analytics data is processed by third-party services (such as Google Firebase), it may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the United Kingdom.

Where such transfers occur, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the UK ICO, or reliance on adequacy decisions made by the UK Government.

12 Cookies & Tracking Technologies

The BizTracker mobile app does not use cookies.

If you visit the BizTracker website (biztracker.uk), we may use essential cookies to ensure the website functions correctly. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies on our website. A separate Cookie Policy is available on the website if applicable.

13 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, our practices, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will:
