1 Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("you", "user") and Hale Technology Limited ("we", "us", "our"), governing your use of the BizTracker mobile application ("the App", "BizTracker").

By downloading, installing, or using BizTracker, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the App.

2 Licence to Use

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download, install, and use BizTracker on a device that you own or control, for your personal or business use within the United Kingdom.

This licence does not permit you to:

• Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels
• Use the App to develop a competing product

3 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a legally binding contract under UK law to use BizTracker. By using the App, you represent that you meet these requirements.

4 Acceptable Use

You agree to use BizTracker only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

• Use the App for any fraudulent, illegal, or unauthorised purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the App or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the App
• Use the App to record false or misleading financial information
• Use the App in a way that violates any applicable UK law or regulation

5 Intellectual Property

BizTracker, including its design, code, graphics, logos, and content, is the property of Hale Technology Limited and is protected by UK and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

The "BizTracker" name and logo are trademarks of Hale Technology Limited. You may not use them without our prior written permission.

6 User Content & Data

All financial data you enter into BizTracker (including income, expenses, invoices, mileage, and business details) remains your property. We do not claim ownership over your data.

Because BizTracker stores your data locally on your device, you are solely responsible for:

• The accuracy and completeness of the data you enter
• Backing up your data regularly
• Securing your device from unauthorised access
• Any loss of data resulting from device failure, loss, or uninstallation of the App

7 Disclaimers

BizTracker is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

• The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure
• Any defects in the App will be corrected
• The App will meet your specific requirements
• The results obtained from using the App will be accurate or reliable

8 Tax & Financial Advice Disclaimer

The App may include features such as HMRC mileage rate calculations, tax estimates, and self-assessment summaries. These features are provided for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as professional financial advice.

You acknowledge and agree that:

• You are solely responsible for the accuracy of your tax submissions to HMRC
• You should consult a qualified accountant or tax adviser for professional advice tailored to your circumstances
• HMRC rates, thresholds, and rules may change at any time, and we cannot guarantee that the App always reflects the most current values
• Hale Technology Limited accepts no liability for any errors, omissions, penalties, or fines arising from your use of the App's calculations or estimates

9 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, Hale Technology Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of BizTracker, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data, profits, revenue, or business opportunities
• Tax penalties, fines, or interest charges
• Errors in financial calculations or reports
• Device damage or failure
• Any third-party claims

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

10 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Hale Technology Limited, its directors, employees, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

11 Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to BizTracker at any time, without notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. Upon termination, the licence granted to you under these Terms will end immediately.

12 Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where practicable, notify users through the App or our website.

Continued use of BizTracker after changes have been posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13 Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of BizTracker shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
